I have WindowsXP and it automaticly shuts dowm my
computer after 30 min. and I have to reboot and log in.
What is my problem and how do I fix it. The computer was
bought used and I have learned that the WindowsXP was
purchased separately.

try to reset your bios to default value. maybe it set to use timer to
shutdown. or if when shutdown it has a buzzer warning, maybe your system is
hot, like cpu fan not running etc.

Is there any error messages or dialogs that pop up before it shuts down?
There's at least one virus that shuts down the machine every so often. You
need to make sure that you have scanned your whole machine for viruses with
an up-to-date virus scanner and also patch your machine with all the latest
