Windows Setup Add Windows Componets Error

When I go to 'Add or Remove Programs' and click on
the 'Add or Remove Windows Componets' I get and error
saying 'Setup was unable to open information file
fxsocm.inf.' I confirmed the file was in the I386
directory and it could be opened. Do I have to reinstall
XP to fix this?

Im sorry but that is the best way to fix this but do a

back up of your important files first, good luck
