I am having a problem where several services (such as windows audio, DHCP,
Wireless Config, etc) turn off of their own accord. These services are set
to start automatically, and they appear to start on boot, but then they turn
off at some point. I am working on a laptop, so if I unplug the LAN or
remove my wireless card I cannot reconnect without either going into services
and restarting DHCP and then repairing the connnection or rebooting.
Sometimes Windows will not recognize that the LAN cable has been plugged back
in or that the wireless card has been reinserted - even when the computer
shows that I have a strong wireless connection.
This is driving me nuts because this is a government computer and rebooting
requires going through a whole bunch of password security stuff so it takes
quite a bit of time. I would be grateful for any assistance with this problem
Thanks!
