windows Service Onstop not working

Hi,
I want to perform some actions when windows is shuting down.
on stop event is not firing when has some code inside it.

Have you run it through the debugger and set some breakpoints?

no...I have not done that. debuging is little difficuilt in this case.
actually on this event I have placed some code to write a text file. which
will write system is shutting down along with time.


I get a startup time but not getting shutdown time.
