When I'm searching for files on my local PC it seems like
XP searches the same Directories more than once. I've
noticed this on every PC that has XP.

Anyone know why XP does this?

Haven't a clue. But you might like this utility - and the price is right...

Folks generally concur that it is superior to XP search in many respects.
