Dear All,
I am trying to re-install Windows XP Home on a machine that was giving
trouble and I had further trouble during the re-install as well which did not
complete fully. But it now appears to have more partitions than I had prior
to commencing the re-install.
Can you please let me know how to use the recovery option on the Windows XP
CD and using the DOS prompt to check how many partitions there are currently
and to get rid of these extra partitions. i.e. be in a position to end up
with just one partition on drive C:. Also should I format this drive and
then start the Windows XP re-install once again?
Also I have a second hard disk drive on the machine. Can you please let me
know how to find this? It used to be drive G: but this drive seems to have
disappared during the problems with the Windows re-install. I am wandering
whether once Windows XP is installed without any problems on drive C: it will
also recognise the additional hard disk.
Thanks in advance for your help.
