windows question: burning to disc

Question: hi,here goes
try to burn files to disc using windows get the following error msg
cood11ab cannot burn files to cd
error id=0xCOOD11ab, condition id=0x00000000
also window comes up telling me to insert blank disk in drive[disk
already in drive]
in windows media player it says
ready to burn
converting
burning to cd
closing disc
this is when i get the error message.
blank discs are wiped.clean and undamaged.

Use nero burning rom to burn all of your cd's

Those types of errors can usually be attributed to one thing: The
burning engine Microsoft chose to include with Windows. It's poorly
written and buggy.

I mean, it gets the job done, sure! But compared to it's alternatives,
it's the inferior choice. What can you expect, though? The package
included with Windows is free. :)

I use Nero and recomend it as well.

Here's what you need to do. Go to start, run type cmd. Then type format c:
and you should be all set.
