hi- for a while now, every time that I click on a picture so as to open it
in "my pictures", the hour glass hangs for more than 5 seconds in order to
open it for viewing. If I "X" it out and pick a different one to open, it
does the same thing. However, if I open a picture & click 'enter' so as to
see the next one, it views instantly.
I know that on my other computer, (same kind), pictures view instantly
whether I close them, reopen them, or just click enter to keep on going. Is
there any fix as to why it hangs?? sometimes, it goes for 8-10 seconds.
Virus/spyware scans seem to come up clean. thanks in advance.

Hi,

So it sounds like the problem is in loading the viewer, not in rendering the
image. As it works, but it's just slow, it likely means you have background
interference. WhatI would recommend is that you hit ctrl+shift+escape prior
to opening the viewer and kill some of the processes that are unnecessary.
Do this a few at a time, closing and reopening the viewer in between each to
isolate which one is interfering.
