Windows patches fail to install

Mark Treat

Use the microsoft update website, have been unable to
install patches for XP. The website scans my system,
identifies the critical patches, I accept and click to
install. The patches are downloaded and installation
begins to run. Ultimately hangs and never completes
installiation.

Went to knowledge base, deleted the \system32\catroot2
directory as instructed. Still have problem.

Any other recomendations?

Thank you - I tried this and unfortunately it did not
work. Any other suggestions?
