Windows Movie Maker

Ok, I'd just like to know what is up with the Windows Movie Maker.
Vista comes with it, but I cannot use it. Everytime I try to open a video
to edit, the DEP prevents Windows Movie Maker from opening. I tried to make
the program an exception in the DEP settings, but Vista does not allow it.
I ended up downloading Windows Movie Maker 2 which works fine in the
beginning. I can edit, save, and reopen a video project. When I go to the
folder where it is saved, everything is still fine. When my mouse is over
the video file, Windows freezes and I get an error message about Windows
Explorer and Rundll not working. Windows Explorer restarts, which causes my
folder to be closed. I cannot open the file for send the file to a
different computer to open it. Anybody have a fix or advice?

Thank you,
Jordan
