Windows Movie Maker, to mute out sounds from video

Hi, I have a question about windows movie maker. How do you do if you want to
mute out sound from the video clip and only have added music on? I know how
to do it if Iwant to have it like that the on the entire movie, but how do I
do if I just want music and muted video clip. Please if someone knows yhe
answer send back to me I'm starting to get really frustrated here!!

You need to make the section you want muted a single video clip, so cut it
each side of where you want it muted and mute the new clip.

My problem is an extension of the original. I have clips in alot of
differant collections that I want to set to a song but they have audio, so I
muted each clip and what I got was a brief period of sound and then nihil.
So the problem is I trimmed down these clips if I combine them and then mute
it I will have too much video for what I wanted. HELP!
