Windows Mobile 6.1 won't allow me to install it

I am the sole user of my computer, with no network ties. I have full
administrator rights, etc. I have tried, very unsuccessfully, to download
the Windows Mobile 6.1 to use with a new hp iPaq 4700. I have tried with the
device not connected, connected, rebooted with it connected, etc. I can
download, but when it is almost installed, I get the following error message,
which I don't understand at all:

Could not write value CLSID to key \SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Extension\{2EAF5BB1-070F-11D3-9307-00C04FAE2D4F}. Verify that you
have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.

I have no support personnel, I don't even know what this pertains to. If
anyone has any idea what this means and how I can fix it, I would really
appreciate it. I can't sync my portable device, which I desperately need for
work, as I can't get this Vista only download to install.

Hmmm well I just installed mobile 6.1 yesterday on my vista laptop with no
problems. I'm using Vista Home Premium if that helps. Haven't tried using it
yet since my dang sync cable has gone missing, but it installed without an
error. I didn't have the phone connected obviously when I installed it
either.

Not sure what the problem with yours might be, but thought I'd let you know
it isn't mobile 6.1.

Right click the Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 setup file and click 'Run
as Administrator'.

Thank you; I finally got it.

Thank you. I ended up uninstalling the program, deleting the previous
download, restarting my computer, downloading the program again. This time,
I clicked 'Run as Administrator' and the program installed successfully.
