Windows messenger will not un-install.

I have removed windows messenger as per SP1 and used Mr
Kays removal resource but to no avail.

I still keep getting two messages stating that windows
messenger has not been installed properly and it then
attempts to re-install it.

I do not want windows messenger as I use another
messenger program.

Why is windows still a pile of %%%%??

When will Mr Gates get it right? This is a classic case
of the product purchased not meeting the required
standard. As such I believe I have a case under the sale
of goods act.

No, I am an IE6 user.

I have never used MSN explorer.

Greetings TD,

Are you a MSN Explorer user? If so, it may cause
Windows Messenger to "come back" --

Hi TD,

It sounds like you've installed Windows Messenger 5 then, firstly, click Start, then Run,
type (or copy/paste) the following:
msiexec.exe /x {ABEB838C-A1A7-4C5D-B7E1-8B4314B10138}
and then click OK.

Assuming you do have Windows Messenger 5 uninstalled, this should remove it completely for
you.
