Windows Messenger Strange Behavior

OK I have to know if anyone has seen this problem. I think my data for
Windows Messenger is messed up on the messenger server. When ever I connect
with Windows Messenger it keeps telling me that a user has added me to their
account and do I want to add them to mine. I click yes every time and it is
always the same account. I have actually seen it where it has had the wrong
names with email addresses and even the name with the phone number and not
an email address at all. It doesn't even show me all of my contacts.

When I am signed in with MSN Messenger it shows me all 12 of my contacts,
but when I connect with Windows Messenger it only shows that I have 7
contacts. I see some contacts in there more then once and when I try to
delete them it tells me that it can't delete it and then signs me out right
away after I click OK to the message box. Then when I sign back in
sometimes it crashes.

It doesn't matter what version of Widows Messenger I use it happens with
them all 4.7 or 5.0, and it isn't corruption on my computer because I can do
a CLEAN install of Windows XP on my laptop and desktop and sign in with
Windows Messenger and the problem exists right away. The only way I can use
Messenger with all my contacts and to know it wont crash it to use MSN
Messenger.

I don't understand this problem or how to make it go away. I like to only
use Windows Messenger on my machine that doesn't have MSN 9 installed, but
because of this problem I must use MSN messenger. If anyone has any
thoughts or suggestions please let me know.
