Windows messenger sign in

Hi Jonathan
What could be the cause that my windows messenger won't sign in when i
dialup the internet.
Sometimes it signs in and sometimes it don't. Then i have to click on it to
sign in.
Running XP PRO SP2, latest version of messenger.
Don't matter if i reinstall windows or not. Still acts the same.
Hope you can help me out. (mothing serious but,it should work, right).
thanks

Greetings,

When you dialup are you using Windows' built-in dial-up connectivity or something your ISP
has made? If the latter, it could just be that the connection hasn't fully been established
yet.

Other possibilities include a firewall that doesn't fully allow access to the connection
before Messenger tries to sign in and other similar scenarios.
