Windows ME.

Do I need active directory client for Windows ME

Regards
Darlie

Greetings Darlie,

Windows Messenger works only on Windows 2000 and XP. If you mean Exchange IM client, you'll
have to use MSN Messenger 4.6:
http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/downloads/2000/IMClient46.asp

If you want to connect to the public .NET Messenger network also, you'll need a third-party
application that supports Messenger, like Trillian:
http://www.trillian.cc
As you won't be able to run a newer version of Messenger since none of them have Exchange IM
support (besides Windows Messenger, which isn't supported on your operating system).

Hi Darlie,

You only need an Active Directory Client (ie. ADSI, NTLMv2, and a few other Active Directory
features) if those specific features are being used on your network. If you're in an
enterprise environment, I suggest you ask your IT department.
