I'm seeing this small window with name "messenger" on the
top. It has this windows messenger icon on the top right
(two green dummies).
it said on bold : messenger has encountered a problem and
needs to close. we are sorry for the inconvenience. If
you were in the middle.........etc. Please tell
microsoft... etc.

I choose send error report once but it keeps coming back.
I choose dont send over and over again with no result,
the window keeps popping up and disturbs all my work.

I do have spybot s&d and norton antivirus for long time
and I have just updated and eliminate all bots, turn off
system restore and re-start my computer. Still no effect.

What do you think what have caused this?

Greetings,

In the error that apologizes for the inconvenience of Messenger shutting down, click the
"click here" link -- in the next screen, you'll see something like the
following: szAppName : msmsgs.exe szAppVer : 4.7.2009.0 szModName : rpcrt4.dll

If you could reply back with what the szModName has in your error, would make it easier to
determine what the problem is.

Hi

I disabled windows messenger just to stop the messenger
shutting down to keep popping up. However, it does pop up
if I use outlook or when I manually open windows
messenger.

Here is the details:
AppName: msmsgs.exe AppVer: 4.7.0.2009
ModName: rtcdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.1351 Offset: 0000aed3

Hope that will help
