Click/Open My Computer/ right click on your CD Drive/ select Properties/ click
the AutoPlay tab/ make your selection of WMP there, for music files.

Chicagofan, your answer is only partially right. Yes, it will open WMP, but it
may not support the selected file. You'll have to make it your default
player.
Open WMP>tools>options>file types tab and check all formats you want to
use it for. Then click Apply and OK.

Sorry, I made a bad assumption that WMP, was already her default player, with
all file types checked.
