Windows Media Player (HELP)

A game just installed Windows Media Player 9 last nite,
however now i cant play my DIVX and the codec's don't work
with series 9. Is there a way of uninstalling it and
putting series 7.1 back on?

No you cannot uninstall Media Player 9 once it's done, the best you can
do is run system restore and go back to an earlier point, chances are
though if a game installed it it probably needs some codec out of Media
Player 9 to play its videos properly. As far as Divx goes, have you
tried reinstalling everything to do with them? Old media player 6.4 can
still be found in C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\mplayer2.exe or
you may want to try this program, which is like old media player but has
lots of cool stuff added on

Sure they do. Download and install DivX 5.1 codecs from
http://www.divx.com/divx/. Just download DivX51Bundle.exe and install the
codecs. Works perfectly in MP9.
