windows media player error

Have been unable to insert a wmv file using the windows media player
insertion. Copied the wmv and inserted it into a blank page and hyperlinked
to it from the page- http://www.katonareininghorses.com/fancys.htm (click on
Fancys Story link or Jakes Story link). Isnt there an easier way to do this
with the media player add in?
Keep getting an error message that says :
"Cannot create file: C/Documents.....mp_fancys_1.asx. The system cannot
find the path specificed. (Error:3) It is possible the windows media player
is already open previewing the media play list."

What am I doing wrong. And if I use the Media player insertion, will the
page load faster?

if you inserted the file directly in the page, this is incorrect, you need to go
through Insert > web component >advanced controls > plugin.

Get the same error when I do it that way too.

are you using fp 2000? I am and the media 9/10 will not even generate a
viewer on the page
something is wrong... very wrong...

the only way I got Media player to do anything was to use the media player
6 plug-in....yet Microsoft CLAIMS the 9/10 plug in works with FP 2000...
can anyone confirm this or give us a hint as to what might be in conflict?

we have already tried installing de-installing re-installing yadda yadda...
top no effect... finally tried the media 6 plug in for the heck of it and..
IT WORKED!

Why?

to the point of critical frustration on this...

Hi Kevin,
Got the link in for the media play but copied and pasted the video onto a
new page, then linked the page to Fancys page. Apparently, not how I was
supposed to use the wmp "add on" deal. Any suggestions on how to do this.
Please scroll up and read error message that I get when I try to do it the
"right" way.

Thanks,
Cindy
