When I start the computer there is a Windows Media Player - page, that
contains folders, skins, etc., etc., that I must go to the trouble of trying
to delete it so that the other popup for gmail and AVG to be admitted or
what ever I am doing by clicking "ok" and the WMP dialog or whatever is hard
to get rid off and is of no use to me, why is it there and how can I
permanently delete? Please, It is irritating if not important to WMP.

Download autoruns from here and see where this is starting from, then
disable it.

Check in media player options for something to disable this from happening.
