I have a Yahoo email account and wish to set up windows mail on my new
computer. It asks me what server is used? I have no idea where to find
this information! Please help!

I see you posted with a Yahoo.com.au (Australia) email address.
Try these settings:

On the Servers tab:
Incoming Mail Server (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.com.au
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.com.au
"My server requires authentication"

On the Advanced tab:
For the incoming server select SSL and port 995.
For the outgoing server select SSL and port 465.

should a person really have to get that info to set up there mail box with
there computer..it shouldnt have to be that hard.. how inconveinent..

JC What a stupid statement. Many things are inconvenient it this world. Computers are not magically setup for everyone in the world.

How would you propose that it be done?
Everyone has different mail service providers and different mail servers.

This isn't a toaster you are playing with.

Yahoo! should have a help page on this. I do know that if you want to use an
email client with Yahoo! you have to have a paid account with them.

That's incorrect information for Australian residents.
