Since changing my laptop which is running windows vista my spam email has
increased by 500%. Windows mail does not seem to block sender. My other
laptop running windows xp professional and outlook express effectively blocks
spam when you block sender. Anyone any ideas?

Your spam senders repeatedly use the same From address?
That is highly unusual.

The strange thing is windows mail pick them up (Vista) but Outlook express
blocks them (XP professional) In outlook express I do not have a junk email
folder but when I block sender it does block the messages.

In my experience, it is futile to attempt to block spam by using
Blocked Senders, since spammers seldom reuse the same From
address.
Go to Tools, Junk E-mail Options, and select the 'High' setting.
Also, your mail provider may have selectable spam filters which
you can enable by logging in to webmail via the web.
