Windows Mail

After I had a new hard drive installed I set-up Windows Mail.
1. I cannot get Mail to stay as the default mail.
2. I cannot send an e-mail from a web page like before. When I open the
page window send page e-mail does not highlight.
Any ideas on how to fix the problem.

Control Panel/Default Programs/"change a file association or protocol...",
scroll down to the bottom, in the 'protocols' area, and highlight the
'Mailto:' item, click the 'change program' button
