Once I open WM and receive e-mails, and try to refresh or "send/recieve"
emails again , a error message apears. any suggestions on how i can change it
so i can refresh without having to close out of WM and re-enter??

Can you show us the entire error message?
 
The Windows mail processing box comes up and says "Some errors occured while
processing the requested tasks.Please review the list of errors below for
more details". However, there is no details about the error.
 
If you are running McAfee or Norton antivirus, that could well be the
source of your problem. Windows Mail is not compatible with
most McAfee and Norton security programs. Those will need to
be uninstalled, not just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their
