Windows Mail

I just HAD to buy a new computer. Not by choice. Anyway, on my Windows XP,
I used Outlook Express and was able to display my contacts on the lower left
in a separate pains. If I wanted to send Joe a message all I had to do was
click Joe and the send message screen would open. Type it and send.

I have not been able to find this feature in Windows Mail. Finding contacts
and sending messages is not a big deal, but I would like to have contacts
displayed like I did in Outlook Express.

Any suggestions?

No, you can't put the contacts down there, like in OE.
Supposedly, there is a gadget that lets you put your contacts on the
desktop, if that would help.

Thanks Dave. I thought I just wasn't reading in the right place, but either
way, I certainly did not find a way.

You can achieve the same result with just as few clicks:

Click on Create Mail, click on To, select recipient.
