windows mail

can send messages
but cannot connect to receive messages

when clicking on the send/receive button
it says (very fast) authorizing then disconnected

doesn't receive anything
 
We would need a lot more information in order to troubleshoot this problem.

Do you get any error messages? Is there mail on the server waiting to be
downloaded? What happens when you send an email to yourself?
Who is your email provider (the part after the @ symbol in your email address)?
