Windows Mail

Just got new notebook with Vista/WinMail. Everything seems to work fine except

1. selecting addressees for the To/CC/BCC fields. For example, when I
select the ‘To’ field to enter addressees, the contact list comes up okay but
it displays ALL contacts in alphabetical order instead of just those in the
Main Contacts folder. Outlook Express had the folder bar to select subfolders
/contacts
2. my contacts are listed alphabetically by first name not surname

Can anyone help me to get back to the Outlook Express situation?

WM does not understand FOLDERS, but does understand GROUPS.
might convert the folder data to GROUPS.

PS: you might consider creating a NEW message for your question instead of tagging onto someone else's message.

by manually select the New Group option and then Add to Contact Group.
since I have the option selected to use CHECK Boxes, all I have to to is check the boxes of the ones I want to add and then click add.
you might have to use the CONTROL Click method to select more than one at a time.

The problem with Contact Group is that it's an 'all or nothing' sort of thing.
If you click 'To', then select a Contact Group, Windows Mail does not expand
the Contact Group to show the individuals in that group, meaning you can't
simply delete one individual from the distribution of that email.
