Windows mail vs Outlook

My new computer with Vista was set up to use Windows Mail. It works fine,
except if I want to include a photo from a photo program (Windows Photo
Gallery, HP Photosmart) or if I want to send a web site link. What basically
happens is it asks me set up Outlook 2003 and create a profile. In doing so,
does that create problems? Is there any way to have Windows mail & its
address book do the sending all of the time?

It sounds like your Windows Mail does not have all of its defaults assigned.
Go to Default Programs, which you can access either from the Start menu
or from the Control Panel, then click the first item: "Set your default programs."
After a few seconds a list of programs comes up.
Click on Windows Mail. If it reports less than all of its defaults, fix it by
clicking the option indicated by the first green arrow.
