Windows mail requires password input....again

Hi all. I just got a Windows security update and now Mail is asking me to
type in my username and password again, like it used to. I've rebooted the
computer, checked the firewalls, etc. Its a problem because I made these
super complicated passwords because my Verizong account kept getting broken
into. Yes, I can call verizon and reset my password, but that usually
includes lengthy waits. I wondered if there is a quick fix.

I'm receiving mail. I've tried "accounts' to 'properties' and worked through
the setups but it erased them in there.

I think I know where this is going, but if anyone has time, please get back
to me.

Thanks.

When you make up a complicated password, save a copy to a text file.
Then you can simply copy and paste it back in when you lose it.

Loss of password can be caused by interference from an antivirus
program. Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus should be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.

Email scanning in any antivirus should be disabled, for reasons
explained here:

If no improvement after disabling email scanning, consider upgrading
to Windows Live Mail, because it is less prone to suffering bad effects
from overly intrusive antivirus programs:
