When I click on an Email link such as in the 'Contacts' folder....

I get the mesage:-

"Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not
properly installed."

So how do I Repair that then..???

Thanks

Open the Default Programs applet, which you can access either from
the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the first item:
"Set your default programs."
After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on "Windows
Mail". If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults"
then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow.

Go back to the Default Programs applet, but this time click on
"Associate a file type or protocol..." When that screen finishes loading,
scroll down to the bottom where all the protocol assignments are shown.
Make sure the "MailTo" protocol is assigned to Windows Mail.

Good, that's why I had you look, because I was beginning to suspect that
the MailTo protocol was missing. The following procedure will usually cure that:

Open the Default Programs applet, then click on "Set program
access and computer defaults." Click Custom, and expand that category.
Select some other email program besides Windows Mail. Click OK.
Go back and select "Windows Mail". Click OK.
