I'm running McAfee on Vista Home Premium and I find Windows Mail takes at
least 10 minutes to load each time I launch. Any suggestions to fix this
issues is most welcome.

ThanX & Rgds,

ThanX & Rgds,

See if this helps:

Also, how much RAM memory does your computer have? Some of
the cheaper ones come with small amounts, such as 512 MB, which
doesn't seem to be enough to run Windows Mail at full speed.

Most versions of the McAfee antivirus program cause assorted
problems in Windows Mail, although seldom immediately. Just
disabling part or all of the McAfee program seldom helps; you
usually have to uninstall it instead. You often then need to reboot,
then run this cleanup program to remove its uninstall program leaves
behind:

You may even need to remove your email account under Windows
Mail, then restart Windows Mail and add the account again.

If this solves your problem, you may want a replacement antivirus
program that doesn't cause such problems in Windows Mail.
Norton, McAfee, and Trend are bad choices, since they are the
three antivirus programs that cause the most problems in Windows
Mail. I recommend either avast! or AVG, either one with a custom
install where you tell it to leave out the parts that scan email.

ThanX Gary I'll follow up with McAfee before I decide to uninstall to see if
they can resolve the issue. And I will also consider Windows Live Mail.

Kind Rgds,

ThanX Robert,

FYI ...my laptop is a Dell (Inspirion 9400) with 1.00GB of RAM and I'll
follow up with McAfee before I decide to uninstall or purchase other
protection software. Afterall I haven't experienced any other issues with
McAfee yet.

Kind Rgds,

George

OK, good luck.
I doubt you'll get McAfee to resolve this, but it's worth a shot.
