Windows Mail is deleting my email

This is very strange. All of a sudden Windows Mail is deleting my most recent
email every time I look in another box. For example, if I look in the deleted
items folder and come back to the inbox, the most recent email in the inbox
is gone. It does not transfer to the deleted items folder. It is just gone.
Any ideas? Thanks.
