windows mail error

Each time I start Windows Mail I get an error message.

Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol:
POP3, Server Response: '-ERR invalid command', Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18

What do these errors mean?

It probably means you have selected an option that server does not support.
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that mail account, Properties, Servers.
Uncheck the box for "Log on using Secure Password Authentication."

Contact Comcast for the correct Incoming (and Outgoing) port to use so that
you can access the account in WinMail.
