Windows mail digital ID & encryption

Hi, I was reading about how to get a digital ID and encrypting emails in
Windows mail. It all seemed to get a bit to technical for me so I did not go
any further, I thought I was just reading about it, however when I create an
email now in Windows mail the Digital ID and Encryption buttons are
depressed. How can I revert back to how it was before? Thank you in advance
