Windows Mail - Contact info

Why does the email address display in the TO: field along with the contact
name. I have searched for the past couple of hours to try to change it but I
don't see that it is an option. I realize you can use the BCC: but that is
not what I am looking for. Thanks in advance!
 
No, it can't be changed in Windows Mail.
The developers felt that you needed to see the email address because
so many people nowadays have multiple email addresses (work, home),
so this gives you a chance to verify that you have picked the correct address.
If you don't like that feature, upgrade to WLM which doesn't have that.
