Windows Mail composition

I'm new to Windows mail after years with Outlook.

In Outlook if i type a single 'i', (meaning me), Outlook automatically
changes it to the capital letter I - (i think because it uses Word to edit?)

Is it possible to get Windows Mail to do the same, or do i have to remember
to use the shift key each time i type 'i'

WM does not have grammar check, but it will check spelling in your mail, if
enabled @ tools>options>spelling tab.
It will offer to change i to I.
Just hit F7 to invoke spell check at any time while composing mail.
