Apply this Microsoft Hotfix: It mentions Outbox, but it works for all folders. Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a computer that is running Windows Vista http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941090 Download and then install. Also get WMUtil from http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/Default.aspx Read the instructions. Run WMUtil with WM closed WMUtil should do the job for you, if the hotfix fails.
