I somehow accidentally turned on the Windows Magnifier and can't get ris of
it. The Vista Help has information on how to turn it on, but no information
on jhow to turn it off--short of rebooting Vista. Can anybody help me turn
Magnifier off?

In the task bar, right click on the magnifier icon and select "close".

Seems like Microsoft should let one right click on the magnified area and
select "close" there too.

It's now clear how the current magnifier ever passed any usability testing
since its behavior is not very intuitive, especially when it is accidentally
activated.

Hi,
Magnifier has a button on the Taskbar, right? Right-click that button,
select "Close."

Hope this helps,
Don

Go to > Control Panel > and look below the Ease Of Access icon Select
Optimize Visiual Display > a screen called Make Compter Easier to see will come up.
Scroll down to the magnifier and 'uncheck' the magnifier selection
Then "click on the Apply" button

Magnifier is set to activate on the 'forward' button of the mouse by
default. To deactivate Magnifier, click the mouse 'forward' button twice..
