When I try to open Windows Live Today I get a Runtime Error and a box which
asks me if I want to debug the script:

"Line: 0
Error: 'a' is null or not an object"

I have no idea what it means or what to do about it.

I'm now running Vista, but the problem also used to occur in XP.

Can anyone please help?

Windows Live Messenger right? How often does it occur, have you tried
reinstalling the software? You might be able to get additional answers in
the following newsgroup:
microsoft.public.windows.live.messenger

It occurred every time I started Live Messenger and I had reinstalled.

Thank you for your suggestion of going to the Newsgroup. I did; there was a
suggested fix (basically deleting cookies and files); I tried it and it
worked.

Thanks again.
