Windows Live Messenger keeps signing off

When I go of to something else Windows Live Messenger keeps signing off and
I have to sign on again. Is there something I can do about it?

XP2 Home SP2 (auto update)
P4 2.4gHz.
500gb disk
cable Internet connection that has not gone off in weeks.
Outlook is e-mail program and checks for mail every 5 mins and has no
problems.
Messenger 8.0.0792.

i have same problem - it just randomley signs me out
