Windows Live Messenager

Hello

How come Windows Live Messenager doesn't run with the new windows vista? It
might i just need a little help. Everytime i access the program by inserting
my email address and my password the program is shut down because The Data
Execution Prevention kicks in i've tried turning it off but it doesn't let
because it says that to run this program i have to have it but it's DEP
stoppping it from running.....HELP!

Hi ,

I came here looking for the same answer. I have the exact same issue, which
should be an easy fix, but does not appear to be in the windows help
anywhere. I see you just posted, so hopefully we can get assistance. In the
meantime I will continue looking and if I find anything will return and let
you know..

Found a temp fix on another post... right click on Icon and run as
administrator, worked fine,
I also used a browser version of messenger while I sorted out this problem,

Paul's temp fix worked for us. Wonder why it has to be run this way? Seems
like Microsoft would have th answer for this if a lot of Vista users are
experiencing this issue.
