why does windows ask me for username and password when i am sending new
messages. If they are put in when i set up my email program, why is it asking
me for passwaord and username when i send new emails. Puzzeled........is
anyone else having this problem.....

This can happen when you use an antivirus program that is not
compatible with Windows Mail. McAfee and Norton are especially
known to cause this problem.

Only incompatible versions of McAfee and Norton. I'm currently running
Norton 360 and a friend is running McAfee Total Protection. Neither of us is
having a single problem.

Problems have been known to manifest after many months of
