Windows live failed to Initialise

I've updated to messenger live and I get the error message 0xc0000005. I'm
using a Sony Vaio and have tried removing sonicstage mastering studio but
still gives me the same error.
I have been on the Sony download site and tried updating the Sonicstage
mastering studio software then reinstalling messenger but still no joy, one
thing I noticed when trying to update the Sonicstage audio filter is that it
tells me it needs to remove an old version but it seems not to be able to
find it.

Any help appreciated.

Greetings Darren,

Well, that's definitely the problem, although I've never actually tested it, I believe the
audio components are one of the key things that causes this since Messenger enumerates all
the audio devices on the system when it starts.

I realize you've already done the necessary searches, so I won't bother reiterating previous
posts. If you vaio is still under warranty, you may want to give Sony a call and see if they
can manually remove the various components of Sonicstage (like the audio filter) and direct
you more.
