Try pressing CTRL-ESC, does that open your Start menu? If so then you
should try using another keyboard and see if that works.

Yes

Please clarify.

Do you mean that Control+Esc works on your usual keyboard and that the
Windows Key does not work on either one?

Also, Mike, please realize that USENET by its very nature is not
real-time. It will take a minute (or several minutes) for posts to
propagate and up to hours for someone to respond.

yes the ctrl-esc does work on the same keyboard that my windows keys do not
work....

I tried another keyboard and the windows key also does not work...

Does the Windows Key never work at all? Or does it not work for certain
combinations? Which ones have you tried?

Also, try using the On-Screen Keyboard:

Start | All Programs | Accessories | Accessibility | On-Screen Keyboard

Try a few Windows Key combinations (like WK+E for Windows Explorer or
WK+D for Show Desktop). Simply click on the multi-colored Windows Key
and then on the letter.

Does this work?

In Device Manager (devmgmt.msc), what keyboard is listed there?

Did you install any software with the keyboard, like to help remap its
keys or define its programmable buttons?

The windows key does not work at all. Yes I have tried the on screen
keyboard, and it works normally.
