Windows installer

When I reboot the windows installer window comes up. I click cancel and it
says cancelling. The window does not go away. I have to go to end task. If
I try to install something from the internet for instance Google Earth when
installing I get a message "Error1500" which says another installation is in
progress and must finish first. I am not installing anything. Please help.
Ask if you need more information. Thanks

Hi Frank,
When I attempt to install the Windows installer Clean Up Utility i get the
same error message Error 1500 Warrenwhich says another installation is
in progress and must finish first. What should I doo now? Thanks for your
help.
