Windows installer problem

After installing SP2 on a Home XP system, the windows installer continually
starts up and tries to install MS Money 2002. This occurs on most any mouse
request for Explorer window or a any browser web page fetch request. The
installer window continually comes up and cancels multiple times before
finally going away.
Search of the NG shows a few windows installer posts, but most have expired
and been deleted from my system.
Can anyone advise me on this before I uninstall MS Money which is unused
anyway?
thx

It seems that this problem is solved by viewing the MSIE Manage Add-Ons
window (Tools-Options-Manage Add-Ons) and disabling those that may have been
enabled in SP2, that you know are not applications that are used. I
disabled a couple of MS Money Add-Ons and this seems to have solved this
problem.
