Windows/Installer folder

I am running Windows XP Home, SP2. I need to delete some files to make more
room on my C:/ drive. I have found a folder: C:/windows/Installer with about
90 files many of which are quite large using 290 MB of storage. All the
files have an extension of .msi. Do I need to retain these or can I delete
them? I am guessing they may be from updating windows. Also in this folder
are many other folders with names like {5e70290-****-****-******} Thank you.

Bill, I wouldnt mess with that Folder. If you have any $NTUninstall
Folders they can be deleted. Rt click on MyComputer
select Properties>System Restore. Check the box Turn off system
restore on all drives. Click Apply Ok. Restart and
reverse the above procedure.

Use CCleaner ( http://www.ccleaner.com/ ) to clean your drives, that may help
to clean up a small amount of unuseful data. I do not recommend you to delete
any data from the system drive without any guides.
