Windows Installer corrupt, what to do?

Everytime I try to install an MSI file with Windows Installer, I get some
runtime error, usually #2755. I think my Windows Installer is corrupt. How
can I fix or reinstall the Windows Installer? Thanks!

Windows Installer error
Go to Start/Run and type: regsvr32 msi.dll
then
Go to Start/Run and type
SFC /SCANNOW
Make sure you have your WinXP CD in the CD Drive before executing the SFC
command.
