I have a friend that is using Windows 2000 Professional. I am attempting to
open image files and would like them to open with Windows Picture and Fax
Viewer.
However I do not find the viewer in my list of options with which to open
them. Is Windows Image and Fax Viewer installed with 2000 Professional ? and
if not , how would I obtain it ? 2000 Professional has an image editting
program but this is really a slow way to view JPEG's.
Thanks for your help.

Windows Picture and Fax Viewer was introduced in Windows XP. It's not
present in Win 2K.

Thank you for the info. Is there a simple program that will run with Win 2k
that she can use to view images quickly ?

You can find TILER.EXE using Google. Give it a try. It creates libraries
of thumbnails of chosen images, and will display any such library of
images serially fullscreen on demand with a mouseclick to 'get next.'
Been using it for years.

There are a great many viewers that might satisfy your requirement. Use
Google "picture viewer" or "image viewer" to find them. Many are
freebies. One of the often-recommended freebies is IRFANVIEW.

that she can use to view images quickly ?
